Holy Grail Product | Australis Fresh & Flawless pressed powder

I have been using this powder for a little over a year now but I'm still so in love with it! Before this powder I was using Rimmel London's stay matte powder which I thought at that time amazing. But ever since switching over to this powder, I've never looked back. I bring it with me everywhere, at work, outings, clubbing, traveling. This has quickly become my holy grail powder. It is definitely worth the hype.

A 2-in-1 foundation and pressed powder compact that provides an instant solution to oily, sensitive or problem-prone skin. It contains Eucalyptus and Clove essential oils which treat existing breakouts whilst assisting in the prevention of further imperfections, Camphor and menthol which are antiseptic and cooling botanicals that treat and soothe oily/sensitive areas. Mica provides an airbrushed finish.

There is simply 2 reason to why I'm so in love with this product. How often is it that you manage to find a product that is not only of a high quality (by this I'm saying that it may be comparable to MAC) yet the price is more affordable than the general drugstore brands (in Australia- Revlon, LoReal etc). It currently retails for $12.95 but you can normally get it on special in Priceline starting from as low as $8.  Did you know that it's one of BeautyHeaven's top 100 products of 2014?

Originally, this product only had 3 shades that it came in- Natural, Deep Natural, Darkest Brown. But recently they came out with another 3! Yay for more shade selections . There is a new light shade, Light Beige, a medium shade called Nude and a new 'dark/medium shade called, Medium Tan. On the right to can see the shades that I am talking about and where they sit in terms of light to darkest. For reference, I am around a NC 20 in mac but this varies as I'm more on the lighter side and currentlyuse the shade natural. (note, don't you think its slightly confusing that the second darkest shade is called darkest brown and the darkest shade is actually called Medium Tan?) 

So what is it specially that I like about this product?It makes my face look flawless but doesn't make my face look caked. It's very easy to build up the coverage even though I feel like the powder alone already provides a light to medium coverage. But I love using this on top of my BB creams and foundations as it gives me a full coverage. It also helps me keep my face matte and helps the longevity of my foundation/BB cream.

There is one minor problem I have with this though. This product is the only product that I ever break, literally. I always keep one in my purse and before I know it the top of the case (clear plastic) would have 'disconnected' or fallen off. This only leads to the actual powder breaking apart and going everywhere. I wish Australis would perhaps put a little bit more attention into this. Other than that I actually like how it has a mirror and sponge in the bottom compartment.

As you can see its so finally milled! Ahh that beautiful silkiness

I definitely recommend you picking up this product as it's one of the best pressed powders I have ever used. It does live up to it's claim of providing a radiant matte complexion.

Face of Australia Face Primer Vs Napoleon Perdis Face Primer

Will this be a holy grail item? Read until the end to find out.

It currently retails for about $11.95 AUD. 

According to Face of Australia website, this primer is meant to help 

"Fill in fine lines for a more balanced surface, so that your foundation applies evenly and stays on longer for all-day flawless skin. The special formula contains Vitamin E to nourish and hydrate skin and chamomile to smooth your complexion, leaving it fresher and brighter, ready for foundation application."

Have you ever wondered why the ingredients are listed the way they are? Actually they are listed by the amount of each product there is. Meaning the first listed product has the most amount, while the last product has the least.

I am somebody who as sensitive skin as well as extremely dry skin.  I can say this product(FOA) really works for me. It makes my skin moist and well prep'ed while it also does not irritate my skin. The perfume smell is also not overwhelming(as if it isn't there). I can't say much when compared (since I dont have the napoleon's primer) but I can say that I have felt the Napoleon's primer (swatched) and it feels and nearly smells exactly the same. 

The cost difference is dramatic and there is a huge gap. The Napoleon one cost around $60 while the Face of Australia one cost around $12(sometimes you can even get in on sale for even cheaper!) I actually managed to get mine on sale at Kmart for $5 (Bargin! right?)

I feel like you just need to try this for yourself to know. But I HIGHLY recommend it.

There is really nothing to hate about it.

Experience ordering directly from Innisfreeworld.com

A while ago InnisFree was having a 1+1 sale for their BB cushions. 1+1 in Korea basically means 'Buy 1, get 1 free'.

For those who don't know the brand Innisfree, it is a 'roadshop' brand, which essentially is the same as a 'Drugstore' brand. Their vision for this brand is quiet simple, "to share the benefits of nature from the pristine island of Jeju allowing for vibrant beauty and pursues an eco-friendly green life to preserve the balance of nature."

My experience was a very pleasant one. Ordering and shipping was relativity fast and with no problems. Everything came wrapped nicely and tucked in a sturdy cardboard box. Unfortunately I have no pictures of what it looked like inside the box as I got too excited and ripped it all apart. It didn't come wrapped in bubble wrap though, instead it was wrapped in a lot of brown cardboard  like paper.

One thing I will need to mention is that they do have a minimum or approximately 70AUD before you get free shipping! But also, I found that some of the prices on their official website were a little..on the pricey side. You can actually get some of these products cheaper on Ebay. I know many people say that you shouldn't buy Korean makeup/skincare products online, incase they were fake. But honestly now days you can kinda tell if they are real or fake. Normally I buy from sellers who are actually shipping from South Korean and have a lot of reviews or their products have been purchased a lot. I have a few sellers who I have brought from before and have returned since they have amazing shipping times and give a lot of freebies!

Their Shipping took approximately 2 weeks which is Ok. I wished it was a little faster considering the amount I paid.

I'm not sure if you can see but depending on what type of BB cushion you get, the amount of SPF also varies. In this case you can see that the water glow cushion has a higher SPF rating that the Ampoule Intense Cushion.

I also think that Innisfree is one or the only Korean cosmetic brand that sells their BB Cushion without a refill.

This is one of the many reasons to why I LOVE Korean skincare and cosmetics!! All the free samples


To conclude buying from their official site can be good when they have 1+1 sales or when they have a big promotion on. Other than that I would stick to buying it on Ebay as I can find some of the products for cheap as well as make mixed orders with other brands.

Red. A classic colour and a must have in every girls nail polish collection. So many shades  but when applied they look different on depending on your skin tone. I may or may not have found one of my holy grail red nail polishes.

What I use for my skin in Summer. (mini review)

Hello! I'm back, this time with a view into what products I use. I got asked by some people what products I use for my skin. I personally don't think my skin is great, it's always red and dry! But thanks to good genes I hardly get pimples (I hope I don't jinx myself!). I do change my routine throughout the seasons but most of the time, it's only adding and taking out a product. This is because I live in Australia and most of the time its super hot and my face is always oily!
